India Government Debt Securities

There are no restrictions on foreign investors owning India government bonds.

Remark: Indian's Government Bond Market has expanded in recent years, with the Government intent on developing debt markets as a financing tool. The retail market for sovereign bonds is still in its infancy, but the government is implementing measures to improve market infrastructure, trading and clearing systems, and the regulatory framework.
