Selling Group
A selling group includes dealers or brokers who
have been asked to join in the offering of a new issue of securities, but
are neither liable for any unsold syndicate balance, nor share in the
profits of the overall syndicate. They obtain securities for sale less the
take-down.
Remarks:
Bond funds including mutual funds (open-end and closed-end, actively managed
and indexed), exchange-traded funds and unit investment trusts offer a
convenient and affordable way to invest in a diversified portfolio of bonds,
but a bond fund investment can differ from a bond investment in ways that
are important to understand. |
